A Word of Hope To The One Going Through The Storms of Life

Are you stressed? Are You anxious? Are the pressures of this world pushing you into a corner? If you are in this boat, I want you to remember that you are not alone. God has not abandoned you even though it may feel like it. Sometimes it may be hard to look past your current struggles because you feel overwhelmed.

I want to give you a word of encouragement. God is able and he will give you the grace, peace, and joy that you require to over come your current circumstances. When I am in a dark place, I often get overwhelmed and I isolate myself because I do not feel good about myself. However, I have to remind myself that God is well aware of my situation and he has not deserted me. For example, after I graduated from college, it took me a very long time to find employment that matched my needs. I would polish my resume, prepare for my interview, show up, and still be met with a resounding “no.” This made me feel inadequate because I felt stuck.

This was one of the worst seasons of my life. During this time, I came across a song called, ‘Take Courage’ by Bethel Music. The lyrics that resonated with was “Take courage my heart. Stay steadfast my soul. He’s in the waiting.” As I continued to listen tot his song, I began to understand that God’s promises are not for us to never face obstacles. His promises are to take us through those obstacles. This means that even while we are waiting and while we are in the middle of the storm, we must remember that He is indeed in the waiting with us.

One of the revelations I received about God’s presence while ‘waiting’ was the reality of the death of Jesus Christ. In the middle of the chaos and trials of the death and even in Death, God was ever so present. He comforted the parents of Jesus as they experienced such great hurts as well as the disciples of Christ.

When you find yourself in the middle of trouble, I urge you to trust God and believe that He is present and will help you overcome.

Here are some bible verses to meditate on:
