MERCY SHOES

MERCY SHOES

I was inside when I heard my mom call me Mercy! Mercy! With the same urgency, I ran outside thinking I had won a lottery. On getting outside my mom had this look on her face (she knew she had called me as if I had won 10million naira). She had called me to tell me about a dream she had that night. In this dream of hers, there was a lady and a man, the lady was very sick and a platform and children were standing on it with little boards. The man instructed that she should pick one of the children and whatever it is she sees on the board that would be her fate. This lady climbed to choose and picked the child with a bald head. Immediately she chose the child, what was written on the board was “bata anu” meaning “Mercy Shoes”. Immediately she walked away from the platform she was healed.

After she had told me her dream, the next thing she said was “Mercy, what do you think is the meaning of the dream” (at this time I really was wishing that Daniel and Joseph were born in this generation). This story reminded me of what God said in 1corinthians 1:26-31msg Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” Among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families.  Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God… My mom said in her dream she was scared when they told the lady to choose, thinking she would pick the wrong person. She also said when she picked the child with the bald head. She was alarmed for the lady. This is how God also chooses, not as a man would. A man may pick due to appearance, but God would pick due to the heart. Christ has come and the curtain has been torn, so you can come boldly into the throne of grace and obtain Mercy (Hebrews 4: 16). God’s Mercy speaks in all areas of life, in the dream it spoke Healing. I charge you to stop at Grace Boutique today and ask for Mercy Shoes.
