A BIT ABOUT LOVE AND LIFE
So I have been thinking a lot lately on purpose. I have asked myself what is the true meaning of life and inasmuch as I have not gone beyond the third day in Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. It is a book I recommend on Purpose.
In answering the question of why am I here I have come to understand that I am not here for myself. A life of purpose right now for me is one who knows his life is for God and God is using it for his Glory. So I think the next question is; if my life is for God, what would he want me to do with it?
In answering the question about the purpose you have to take your eye from self because purpose tells you it’s not about you. It is about God. Every purpose driven life is centered on others! Are you gradually seeing how life is not about you but about God and then others?
I have also come to know that I owe no man anything asides to Love. So love propels you to look beyond yourself to those around you. These may go against the words standard of self first. The world says to put yourself first but can you imagine if Jesus Christ had put himself first? What would have happened to salvation?
I have often asked myself what is the essence of prosperity? Why am I blessed? I am blessed to be a blessing to others. The greatest joy is derived from showing love to others and it does have an effect on us. The joy that has flooded my heart when I hear someone say what you said or did has an impact on me! It makes me appreciate me more because I know I have added to someone’s life.
That gifting or talent wasn’t just placed there for you. The man that buried his talent didn’t see the big picture. When Jesus was asked the greatest commandment he said: “Love God, Love thy neighbor as thyself” (Matthew 22:36-38). If Jesus is truly our example lets live a selfless life.
